LILY HAYMAN

Lily is a writer, director and producer from Southern Sydney who lives and works on the unceded land of the Dharawal people. She is the co-founder of Purple Tape Productions, an independent company dedicated to new Australian works championed by women and gender diverse creatives. Lily’s Directing credits include; Afterglow by Sheanna Parker Russon and Lillian M Hearne for the Griffin Lookout Season (2026), Straight Panic by Lachlan Parry (2026), Some People Talk About Violence for UOW (2026),The Future Show with Natalie Rose, John Baylis and the Shopfront Senior Ensemble (2025), [YOUR NAME] by Kate Bubalo (2024), Dignified Exit with Lauren Oakes and the Shopfront Young Company (2024), Party Girl by Lucy Heffernan (2023-4), Stop. Drop. And Listen with Hayden Tonazzi and the Shopfront Senior Ensemble (2023), and Expiration Date by Lana Filies (2023). She is the writer/director of Fledgling (2021-22) and co-creator of The Infinity Mirror (2021-2) alongside Thomas Doyle. She was recently Associate Director for Naturism (2025) with Griffin Theatre Company, and has been Assistant Director for DUST (2022) with Milk Crate Theatre. Lily is currently working with Brisbane Festival as Producer - Festival Village (2026), and is currently the Creative Producer for Voxstep.
